Compare electricity contracts from different companies
Fortum Oyj is a Finnish energy company operating in Finland, the Nordic countries, Russia, Poland, Germany, the Baltic countries and India. In addition to electricity sales, Fortum is focused on electricity generation, heat production and sales, power plant operation and maintenance services and other energy-related services. Its main products are electricity, heat and steam. Fortum has largely divested its ownership of the electricity grids.
Fortum is not only one of Finland's largest electricity sellers, but also the 16th largest company in Finland, with a turnover of approximately EUR 5.2 billion. With the acquisition of Uniper, Fortum is set to become Finland's largest company, with a turnover of €84 billion. Fortum was founded and listed on the stock exchange in 1998.
Fortum electricity contracts
Electricity contracts Fortum has something for every need - the company's portfolio is wide, and includes exchange electricity, universal electricity and fixed-price contracts. Fortum's contracts are therefore similar to those of virtually all other modern energy companies - a wide range of products is offered to ensure that there is a contract to suit every need.
In terms of prices, however, Fortum's electricity contracts are the most expensive - the company invests heavily in marketing, both online and at its stands, and this strong marketing effort has resulted in a very large customer base. However, in terms of pricing, the company does not compete at the same level as lower cost players in the sector. In many cases, Fortum's electricity contracts are significantly more expensive than those of competing, smaller companies, and this is reflected in its own electricity bills, especially for households that consume a lot of electricity. Competitive tendering for electricity contracts usually brings significant savings for existing Fortum customers.
